Buddhists worship in churches or temples. They do not have a religious leader. They worship Buddha who was born about 2,500 years ago in India. Buddha was not a god. He was the son of a Indian warrior king. He died when he was about 80 years old. The religion began in India. It is practiced today everywhere in the world, but it is mainly in South East Asia.

Buddhists believe that wealth does not mean happiness. They believe in the Four Noble Truths. The first noble truth is the presence of suffering. The second is determine cause of suffering. The Third is the truth of end of suffering. The fourth is attaining the end suffering. Buddhists also believe in Karma. Reincarnation is also believed. Reincarnation is a cycle of rebirth.
Buddhists sacred writings are the Tripitaka which is the earliest collection of Buddhist writing. Tripitaka means three baskets. There are 45 volumes in one modern edition. The first basket is the disipline basket. The second basket is the Discourse basket. The 3rd basket is the special teaching.
Buddhists meditate. Suffering is the central condition of humanity to them. Karma determines what you turn in to after death. Being a human is the greatest reward. They use a prayer wheel which is a hollow cylinder. Spinning a prayer wheel is just as effective as saying the sacred text.
Buddhists celebrate their own holidays. A few holidays would be the Buddhist New Year, Vesak, Sangha day, and Dhamma Day.
A symbol is a lotus. Another symbol would be Buddha's footprint.
